In October 1990, he was promoted as a Senior Executive Engineer and in July 1991 as a Director of Electronics and Radar Division. In August 1993, Mr. Ramesh Babu joined the Electronics Research Laboratory as its director. In August 1996, he moved to Boden Group as Managing Director of Optical Fiber Testing & Research Centre at Visiontek Pvt Ltd., Hyderabad - Andhra Pradesh. In December 2002, he joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at Nagpur University as a Reader. In October 2007, on promotion, he was appointed as a Professor of Electrical Engineering.
